Competitive Team Information

How much does team cost?

Monthly tuition for team members varies according to competitive level and the number of training hours.  Additional costs may include meet fees, travel fees, uniform costs and USA Gymnastics registration. Consult the parent handbook and your child's coach for specific information.  Tuition payments are due by the 10th of each month.

What should my child wear for class?

Gymnasts should arrive to class ready for workout.  This includes having hair pulled securely back, wearing a leotard, having a drink, and using the bathroom prior to practice.  Loose clothing, such as shorts and t-shirts, and socks must be removed before practice begins.  Lockers or cubbies are provided to store gymnasts' belongings.  Cell phones are not allowed during practice.

Do you participate in USA Gymnastics?

Yes, AcroSports is a USA Gymnastics member club.  Each gymnast must register as an athlete with USA Gymnastics in order to compete in sanctioned meets.

What are your term dates?

The Competitive Team practices continuously throughtout the year. During the school year, August through May, practices are held in the evening.  Summer practices begin in June and level assignments are made in September.  The competition season runs from December though March.

Are your teachers certified?

Yes! All of our team coaches are certified by USA Gymnastics.

Can we still join your team after the season has started?

Yes! We accept new team members throughout the year. However, new team members may not be immediately ready to compete. Evaluations for new team members are typically held in the Spring.

Can parents watch?

Yes!  Our upstairs viewing area offers 360 degree views of the gymnastics facility.  We do ask that you refrain from taking flash photos and from talking to your child during practice.  We also ask that spectators remain in the lobby or upstairs mezzanine.  Spectators are not allowed on the gym floor while practices are in session.

What is your ratio of gymnasts to coaches?

AcroSports employs 4 team level coaches.  These coaches are divided among the various group levels.  Sometimes you will see us practicing as one large group, while at other times a coach may work with individual children.

What levels are offered?

We offer instruction in compulsory levels 1-5, optional levels 6-10 and Xcel.
