Coaching Philosophy

AcroSports and its coaching staff have made a commitment to developing a highly competitive gymnastics program.  Our program is based on discipline, hard work,  and desire.  We expect and will not accept anything less than 100% effort from all team members.  We want our gymnasts to feel that they accomplished something when they look back on their time with us.  We ask that older team members understand that they are role models for their younger teammates and take this responsibility seriously.

Our goal is for each team member to participate in competitions.  We are aware that not every gymnast will be prepared at the same rate.  No one will be held back if they are ready to compete.  However, we will not send a gymnast to a competition until we feel she is ready.  We want the competitions to be a valuable and enjoyable experience for each and every team member.

Being a team member is a privilege.  We are not required to keep you on the team if you do not follow the guidelines in the handbook that has been provided to you.  The AcroSports staff wants this club to be a leader in the state, the region, and the country.  In order to meet that goal, no individual will be allowed to cause problems to the detriment of the team.

We understand that not everyone has the same goals.  We will provide those individuals who are less serious with the opportunity to be a member of the team as long as they are willing to work hard.  Everyone has the same opportunities, but only those who strive for excellence will reach their full potential.
